It's been over a year since I posted...

This is just a quick post to let you know that I'm still alive! I realize I hadn't posted on this website for about a year and a half... guess I'm not much of a blogger. The primary reason I started a website was to have a place for people to get my various open source scripts.

As some of you may know, Postnuke has become Zikula and osCommerce has pretty much stagnated so it's likely you won't be seeing any updates from me for these two platforms. Also, to anyone asking (not that they'll read this first) I won't be updating any existing script work to said platforms.

In my off-time, I just don't feel like script-hacking too much anymore, especially for these somewhat outdated platforms. Something new might catch my eye, we'll see. I think CodeIgniter and the upcoming ExpressionEngine 2.0 (which is waaay late) are looking really interesting. I had already re-scripted a website we did in CodeIgniter and it was an absolute joy (more or less).

Instead of scripting, I've been playing video games on my Playstation 3 - yay! Yeah, I know maybe a little old for that but I do find them fun, though some of the bugs and weak A.I. still present in this "next-gen" is a little dismaying.

I've been trying to get a handle on the social-networking scene and even have a profile on Facebook. Mostly I did it just to try and get a handle on it for some work projects, overall though I find it a little shallow and banal. Couple friends have crawled out of the woodwork, and while nothing substantial, it's a distraction.

So that's it... I expect I probably won't post for another year and a half at least, but I figured I should post *something* in 2008, so here it is. Happy New Year everyone!
